Athlete Safety Checklist

In order to keep kids, Coaches and parents safe when kids are playing sports during the pandemic it’s important to take extra safety precautions. This article outlines a safety checklist .

-Atheletes should stay home if they are feeling ill.

-Everyone should have their own equipment including water bottle and towel.

-Maintain social distance and wear a face mask.

-If an athlete has Covid they should be cleared by their doctor before returning to sports.

-They should be screened for heart complications of Covid.

-Children who are very sick must be treated as though they have myocarditis and not return to sports for 3-6 months.
